flow.m – Liberated Mind
Japanese Handmade Washi Paper and Black/Gold Sumi Ink
12.59 inches (length) x 10.23 inches (width)
June 2025
—Concept
flow.m is a series of abstract ink wash paintings inspired by Zen philosophy and traditional Japanese ink art. Using black and gold (or silver) ink on handmade washi paper, the brushstrokes follow the natural movement of water and the rhythm of the artist’s breath.
The compositions are often minimalistic yet emotionally rich, inviting the viewer into a meditative visual space. Unlike the concealed intensity of shroud.m or the ceremonial brilliance of ascent.m, this series focuses on acceptance and release. It’s an aesthetic of impermanence, echoing the quiet dignity of falling leaves or drifting clouds. Every line is a trace of the moment, of intuition and internal stillness.
These pieces are ideal for serene interiors, meditation spaces, or as meaningful gifts.
—Concept
flow.zen merges the intuitive abstraction of flow.m with symbolic language—embroidery of kanji characters in gold thread on fabrics with abstract painting, or characters foil-stamped upon the surface of washi paper. These kanji represent spiritual concepts such as “静” (Stillness), “創” (Creation), or “躍” (Leap), selected to correspond with chakras or universal values.
The kanji characters on abstract paintings not only enhance the visual focus of the piece but also serve as talismans—quiet affirmations of the soul’s journey. This series is ideal for contemplative spaces, spiritual interiors, or as meaningful gifts. It reflects the harmony between language and flow, thought and feeling, structure and intuition.
These pieces are ideal for serene interiors, meditation spaces, or as meaningful gifts.

ascent.m – Kyoto
Wooden Panels, Japanese Traditional Fabrics
16.14 inches (length) x 48.42 inches (width)
June 2025
—Concept
ascent.m is a series that seeks light and elevation. Utilizing traditional Japanese fabrics such as Nishijin-ori, Rinzu, and kinran (gold brocade), the works embody a sense of spiritual ascent. The golden and silver threads, cords, and ornamental knots incorporated into the textiles suggest ritual, offering, and transcendence.
This series often serves as an introduction to the deeper and more abstract shroud.m works, offering an accessible entry point that still retains symbolic richness. The luminous textiles evoke both ancient Japanese imperial culture and a universal yearning for the sacred. These pieces are intended to be both decorative and spiritually uplifting, suggesting the act of rising—from inner shadows to a place of clarity and light.
—Concept
shroud.m is a series that depicts the act of concealing brilliance. It combines multiple layers of acrylic paint, gold leaf encased in resin, and a grid of transparent acrylic rods suspended above the canvas surface. The rods distort and veil the underlying golden light, making it visible only from certain angles and distances. This structure metaphorically represents a psychological or spiritual state where beauty, truth, or the essence of the self is hidden—sometimes by external pressure, sometimes by our own unconscious will.
These works resonate with themes such as repression, trauma, spiritual awakening, and healing. The veil—while obstructive—also protects. By presenting the act of covering not as negation but as a passage, the work allows the viewer to reflect on the complex relationship between pain and brilliance.
